Large wallhanging hand embroidered by the Mochi community, Gujarat, India, using their Ari chainstitch also known as the Mochi stitch. Pattern is a small repeat flower. The border is made of natural dye blockprint from the village of Balotra, Rajasthan, India. The style of this particular motif is called Bhalka. Its an interesting idea from the manufacturer to use a traditional local print as a border.
